The Great Western Hospital was illuminated as
part of a heartfelt thank you to the NHS during
the Covid-19 pandemic and in support of the last
#ClapForOurCarers national campaign on Thursd
28th May via live stream.
Local event production company Corporate Events
delivered an inspiring lighting and projection display
in a rainbow of colour, with messages of hope and
thanks from the public – all live streamed to the
Facebook pages of Great Western Hospitals NHS
Foundation Trust and its charity, Brighter Futures.
Over 25,000 viewers have watched the video so
far and social media was flooded with messages of
thanks and hope from the general public, dedicated
to all staff across the Trust.
Clare Baker wrote, “Few people can truly know
what those on the front line deliver day after day. I am
in awe of you all. True heroes. Thank you.”
Managing Director of Corporate Events, Andy
Ashley said, “What an evening. It was so humbling to
be in the presence of those who have given so much
and continue to do so. Corporate Events has been
part of Swindon for almost 25 years and we were
honoured to have been able to give something back
to our local Hospital, the staff and patients as part of
the final Clap for Carers.
“After reaching out to the Great Western Hospital
Trust and Brighter Futures, we wanted to do more,
so we contacted our local partners Swindon PA Hire
and WGS Power and Lighting in order to really make
this something to remember for Swindon and our
local NHS heroes.”
