We’re open for business
Firms raring to go as we
get ready for lift-off from
lockdown
loved seeing the social media posts of our
readers enjoying their copies at home.
The last few months have been a test
for us all and I feel incredibly lucky to be
part of this wonderfully caring and kind
business community. We’ve all rallied for
one another, looking out for signs that
someone might be having a bit of a wobble,
then picking up the phone and checking in.
We’ve taken it in turns to scoop each other
up on a low day and that’s amazing. I’ve
seen nothing like it before and it makes me
feel so very comforted to know that so many
of you have got my back, as I’ve got yours.
This edition is all about business and
community coming together, from our
cover story thanking our local hospital
and its staff (turn to page 4), to pages 6-7
where we recognise those offering ethical
inspiration in business.
If there is a ‘new normal’ I hope that
this sense of community stays. By sticking
together this region will continue to survive
and thrive.
Keep safe and stay positive.
