trust in us for another service.”

RECENT WORK

Elm Workspace has recently been working on a number of
national projects including the refurbishment of a London
Sixth Form College, providing areas for both collaborative
work, social study and focused individual work, such as
homework and revision.
The brief was to design a functional, yet attractive Sixth
Form to suit the needs of all students with a modern design
and comfortable working areas. The furniture needed to
be robust and hardwearing but also stylish. Gary Foy from
the Elm Design Team, said, “We worked with the School
Head and the Business Manager to select the best products
and finishes. Once their preferred choices were selected,
our design team put together the 3D renders to enable the
school to see the proposed final result and make necessary
tweaks.
“We designed the soft seating area to maximise the view
out of the large windows to be an ultimate place to relax.
“The fabrics for the furniture were chosen to match the
colour scheme for each designated area. Another thing
we had to bear in mind, was which fabrics best suited the
purpose of the school environment.
“The Sixth Form area now looks rejuvenated, classy and
fully functional for lots of students. We are really happy with
the choice of colours, the entire Sixth Form area has an
understated yet sophisticated feel.”

Zapp Outdoor has transformed
the outside space of a
prestigious, four star hotel in
Leeds city centre. The client
wanted some cover for their
first floor terrace bars, so that
the space could be used in all weathers. The terrace is above
the main entrance to the hotel and it had to be in keeping
with the look of the building.
Zapp’s Richard Hofen, said, “Our new Quattro system with
brilliant translucent material was proposed and accepted to
include ambient lighting and sides. In addition, we proposed
and supplied comfortable, weather-proof furniture. The
project was a huge success and our client is now looking to
install another roof at another site very soon.”
