THE TECHIES AWARDS 2019
The Winners
CUTTING IT AWARD WINNER
Render of Swindon
Render’s entry showcased its innovative and
amazing work for Airbus. The company has
delivered multi-user virtual reality experiences
which, in turn, showcase what Airbus does and
evidence its place at the cutting edge of the
aerospace industry.
These VR assets allow Airbus to help trade show
visitors and potential clients to immerse themselves
in the products on offer, experiencing virtually the
world of Airbus and aerospace.
Mark Miles, Managing Director, said, “It’s brilliant
to win this award and to be part of this celebratory
event of all things tech in our community. We
were lucky enough to pick up some awards last
year so were thrilled to be recognised again. To be
seen among our peers as a brand which provides
innovative visual solutions for our clients to allow
their own customers to be immersed totally in what
they can offer, is very humbling.”
The Render team of 16 continues to work with
Airbus and is now involved in what is known as
‘virtual twins’ providing VR and AR experiences
which allows companies to simulate activities in an
immersive virtual environment mirroring a place or
building. An example might be creating a virtual twin
of a real oil rig to train people in health and safety
around the construction or to virtually practice a
real-world evacuation prior to visiting the actual rig.
