POSITIVE BUSINESS

SAVE THE CHILDREN’ S CENTENARY YEAR
Find out how you can make a difference and join the Wiltshire 100.
I’ m your regional Community Fundraising Manager for Save the Children. I’ m based in Swindon and have lived here for 20 years. I’ m proud to be in a place with such an amazing community spirit and can-do attitude. It’ s a privilege to work alongside a team of passionate people who fight every day for children in the UK and around the world, campaigning for change and raising much-needed funds.
Save the Children is turning 100 next year and you’ re invited to be part of something special! It’ s called the Wiltshire 100. It couldn’ t be easier to join. Just contact me to sign up and commit your company to raising £ 100 for Save the Children in 2019. Jointly, we’ re aiming to raise £ 10,000 across the county. Your support could help bring essential healthcare, education, protection and food to millions of children around the world who are missing out on these basics. It could help us reach children who have been forgotten, simply because they were born in a remote village, because they’ re girls or refugees, have a disability or are from a minority group. Together we can help them build a better future where they, like our own children, can make their mark on the world.
Partnering with us can bring real benefits to your business, too. You can boost engagement, raise staff morale, and enhance your profile in Swindon and across Wiltshire.
I hope you’ ll jump at this unique opportunity to join the Wiltshire 100 and help us mark our centenary year.
In the meantime, my team has already got woolly jumpers and warm feelings on the brain! That’ s because Save the Children’ s Christmas Jumper Day is fast approaching. I urge you to join in the festive fun on Friday December 14 and sign up for Christmas Jumper Day at www. christmasjumperday. org. We’ ll send you loads of exciting ideas to get staff and customers into their festive woollies. Last year I joined the breakfast team at BBC Wiltshire to launch Christmas Jumper Day and they spoke to businesses, individuals and organisations throughout the morning who were taking part. This year, there will be a prize and lots of media coverage for the company with the biggest and boldest Christmas Jumper Day event. So, let’ s make Friday December 14 the biggest, woolliest most generous day of the year Wiltshire! For more information contact Fidelma on: F. Meehan @ savethechildren. org. uk or call 07826 671 544.
