As I write this column I reflect on what a journey I’ve been on. I’ve learnt so much as a person and as a business owner in the last four years. The Business Exchange has most certainly been a labour of love, it’s not been easy at times, but with true graft I’m delighted to have got where I am today. This birthday issue marks our biggest magazine for Swindon and Wiltshire yet, in terms of revenue and pages. In an ever- shrinking publishing industry, it’s great that a regional title like TBE is bucking the trend. I think the key to our success is that we pair print, online and social media together giving our readers choice in how they want to read our products, whilst providing maximum exposure for our advertisers at a competitive price. In September 2016 we launched our second title, The Business Exchange Bath & Somerset. We are proud to be Bath’s only business magazine with a growing audience and advertiser base as we move into our second year of trading. So, what’s next for The Business Exchange? The plan is to keep strengthening our offering through investment in our products and our people. We’re also working on some new additions to our existing offering to be launched by the end of the year. Watch this space! The key thing for me is to not forget where we’ve come from and to remain thankful to all of our advertisers, contributors and supporters who have helped us along the way. We wouldn’t have come this far without you. Going for growth is never an easy challenge, but it’s one Swindon and Wiltshire companies are keen to embrace.
