“As a solicitor I am in a trusted advisor
role and I endeavour to forewarn my
clients of any legal issues which may
present and of any particular changes in
the law that may be impacting on their
business.”
When discussing the biggest mistakes
clients make, David said that whilst all
of his clients are experts in their field,
they don’t always seek legal advice at
the earliest opportunity. He added:“It is
more often than not beneficial to seek
external legal advice at an early stage

David said: “I have always enjoyed
working in Swindon. It is a very ‘no-
nonsense’ and mobile environment. I
have gained a real wealth of experience

Whilst I have enjoyed various challenges
within the profession over the past 30

“I thrive on providing salient legal
advice and benchmarks to ensure that
legal challenges are adhered to in order
to enable the business owner to continue
with their valued workforce.”
“Where a lot of business owners come
unstuck is that they try to resolve an issue
internally which then escalates. Very often
in my experience it is preferable once
having identified an issue to speak to a
lawyer first rather than allowing the issue
to get worse.”
In the office David is known for his
keen interest in music and has long been
a supporter of the Swindon Recital Series.
This year Bower & Bailey are supporting
the Lunchtime Recital Series for the third
year as corporate sponsors.
