Niche Recruitment is celebrating a successful end to 2016 with the placement of their 100th candidate .

Set up just 17 months ago by Nick Wimshurst and Michelle Graham this is a real milestone for the firm , knowing that they have made a positive impact on their candidates ’ careers and also helping their clients grow and expand . The majority of positions filled have been within their specialist sectors of project management , project coordination , marketing and digital . Helping to fill permanent and interim roles . Nick said : “ We ’ re very proud of our achievements so far , we have developed some fantastic relationships with clients in the local marketplace , our aim is simple , to help candidates and clients to create successful , long-term relationships . We find roles that perfectly suit each candidate ’ s personality , skills and ambitions and find top-in-class talent for our clients that can add value to their business .” The pair say understanding the Swindon market has been key to their growth , having both recruited in Swindon since 2004 . Michelle said : “ There ’ s a talent shortage in some areas , with more jobs than candidates , promoting the benefits of living and working in Swindon has been key to attracting new talent to the town .

“ We work closely with our clients to provide a true consultancy solution , educating them on their recruitment processes and how they can best attract candidates to fill their positions . This may include reviewing their policy on holiday entitlements , pension provision and offering flexible working hours .”

This year Niche have been growing their own team too . Rebecca Doms joined the firm back in March as a resourcer / marketing co-ordinator . This was her first permanent position since graduating from university and Nick and Michelle ’ s first employee . Michelle said : “ Having originally approached me as a candidate for another role , Nick and Michelle introduced me to working with their portfolio of clients in recruitment . Joining Niche was a pivotal direction in establishing my career and I feel I ’ ve gone from to strength to strength under their guidance . True to our tagline , I can say that Nick and Michelle helped me find my Niche .” Victoria Goddard has also just joined the team as sales and marketing executive , helping to drive business development and marketing activities to grow the client base and attract new candidates .

Karina Henty , Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives has worked in family law since 1993 and has been with the firm for 16 years . She is highly experienced in advising and representing clients on all aspects of family law relating to separation and marriage breakdown , including finances , domestic violence and children matters .

Private client solicitor , Rachel Saunders has specialised in private client matters since qualifying as a solicitor in 2004 . She joined the Swindon office in November 2014 and specialises in the preparation of

wills , administration of estates , preparation and administration of trusts , capital tax planning and advice , the preparation and implementation of powers of attorney ( including lasting powers of attorney ) and court protection applications . Rachel is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly ( STEP ) and is in the middle of completing her STEP diploma .

Heather Wannell , chartered legal executive , has been with the firm at their Malmesbury office since January 2010 and specialises in wills , probate , Powers of Attorney and court protection matters . She is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and regularly gives talks to groups about wills and powers of attorney . In 2015 she passed the Solicitors for the Elderly Older Client Care in Practice Award .
