need to get to and put a plan in to get there.
Take time now to assess the last year;
What did you achieve?
What went well?
What are you proud of?
What did not go well?
What should you have done differently?
What issues are still present?
What do you need to do to solve them now?
Take time to celebrate success with your team and ask them
all the above questions to include them.
In my South West Vistage Group, we solve the members
problems. They bring an issue to the group and the group
brainstorms the issue, gives advice, shares best practice and
challenges the member to come up with the best solution. It is
awesome to be with such great leaders, where confidentiality
is assured and trust implicit – it is like having your own nonexec board.
Get ready for 2017 now and be clear about your goal(s).
One of the biggest mistakes leaders make is a failure to set
clear goals and expectations. Does everyone know what is
expected of them? Put people in the right roles to succeed, tell
them what is expected and set milestones to mark progress.
