And that was 2022 , what a year for Bath !
I can ’ t remember a year where we have seen more change and development in the city . Nearly every street in central Bath has seen a new opening or investment in a space . I ’ ve personally enjoyed trying out the many new eateries and bars that have popped up , as well as touring new developments that will shape Bath ’ s future . The place has a buzz about it and despite economic conditions and a challenging year for business , Bath is fighting back post pandemic .
The opening of Bath ’ s new business district Bath Quays has transformed the city and is the most significant investment we ’ ve seen in a generation . The development builds on Bath ’ s industrious history . Newark Works ( cover story ) which is at the heart of the Bath Quays project , was previously

A glimpse inside Interaction ' s new home
home to engineering company Stothert and Pitt , which was founded in 1785 and famed for developing the first steam crane . A restored crane which stands proud over Newark Works entrance is a nod to the past to inspire the next generation of workers in this landmark building following a £ 9 million redevelopment ( read more on page 6 ).
It has been a pleasure creating this special ‘ Business Review of the Year ’ issue which celebrates all the fantastic things happening in our community and optimism of its businesses . I ’ m truly proud to call Bath my home city and I can ’ t wait to see what the new year brings . We have what promises to be a fantastic calendar of events lined up for 2023 .
