he GREAT Fashion for Climate Action , 9 November 2021 , was an event hosted by the GREAT Britain and Northern Ireland Campaign and the British Fashion Council hosted at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum , Glasgow . Brands included : Burberry , Helen Kirkum , Mother of Pearl , Mulberry , Phoebe English and Stella McCartney .

commitment to climate action through innovation within the fashion industry . The showcase included presentations by industry figures , interactive installations and a canapé reception .
With estimates suggesting that clothing and footwear industries are responsible for 8 % of global greenhouse gas emissions , and the fashion sector being the third largest manufacturer in the world , British fashion brands are using innovation to solve the industry ’ s climate challenge .
