n such a busy industry it can easily be believed that ticking the wellbeing box with a weekly cardio session or a cup of tea away from a computer screen is enough , but it ’ s often forgotten to look after ourselves holistically on a daily basis .
Improve your sleep
Ensuring you get as much restorative sleep as possible helps support all the intricate systems of the body and gives the active , thinking mind a break . Ways you can do this are by curbing eating after 7pm ( digestion interrupts our sleep cycles ), turning screens off at least an hour before bed ( aiding melatonin production ), and start winding

down earlier so you have more time to relax .
Thymus tapping
The thymus gland is located below the breastbone and regulates your immune system . When tapped , the vibrations stimulate the maturation and release of white blood cells , helps improve the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the lungs , and soothes the heart lowering blood pressure . Start by deepening your breath , softening your face , jaw and shoulders each time you exhale . Once centred , begin to lightly tap on this point with your fingers . Notice any shifts in how you feel .
Olfactory
The sense of smell is very grounding , and the use of essential oils can support our overall wellbeing by invoking natural chemical reactions within the body . There are many blends on the market , but my favourite blend for everyday use in a diffuser or bath contains : three drops Lavender , three drops of Eucalyptus , two drops Tea Tree and one drop of Peppermint .
