Health“. The Ministry of Health in Warsaw sent us prospects and brochures, students gave
speeches on the topics „ Salt harm“, „Cancer“ and „Healthy lifestyle“, the ministry also sent
calendars with health pyramids, which hang in every classroom.
On the Fruit Day each class brought another kinds of fruits to treat students from other
classes. They were all dressed in various colors of „their“ fruits. Students watched two films
about unhealthy eating habits and discussed the topics in their lessons. They saw how
ecological vegetables (tomatoes and cucumbers ) grow in a greenhouse. Polish teachers
prepared a board game „Race to Health“ and all the students played it
answering
questions,doing physical exercises and having fun. Based on those questions all students
wrote the first part of this competition and the best students from each class took part in the
second, oral competition, solving various tasks. Students themselves prepared sandwiches or
salads from their own products. They also talked about vitamins and minerals contained there.
Two written competitions in German , one concerning „Sport“ and second „Health“ were
conducted. Students prepared posters showing sports activities and the healthy lifestyle and
produced their own health recipes in German and in English. During chemistry lessons
students described the influence of chemical minerals on health and life. Specially invented
