Secondly, my country can show off many famous people as for example Maria
Skłodowska-Curie. She explored two elements - Radium and Polonium. Other famous
person was Mikołaj Kopernik. He explored that the Earth revolves around the sun. We
also have famous people at the present time. Our Pope - Jan Paweł II - was known by
many people. He was a very important person for our history and religion. Robert
Lewandowski, the football player, is one of the best known Polish sportsmen. He plays
in Bayern Monachium team. He is the idol for many young boys.
Moreover, Polish people have delicious and traditional food. It is also known around
the world. One of these dishes are pierogi. Pierogi are made of dough with the different
filling inside. It can be a cottage cheese, strawberries or blueberries. Also barszcz is
our traditional dish. It is a kind of soup with eggs, sausages and a horse-radish.
To sum this up, I have good reasons to be proud of my country. In my opinion Poland
is a beautiful place with many traditions, nice places and interesting people.

I definitely think that I am proud of my homeland. Poland is a beautiful country with a
very interesting history. There are many interesting places and monuments.
I will try to prove my thesis with a few arguments.
In the first place I will refer to the behavior of Polish people during the Second World
War and their view in terms of Hitler’s activity. During the time of occupation Polish
people were treated in a very bad way, but they have never forgotten about others
