Pupils can identify what is happening in scenes
from the Bayeux Tapestry and match each
scene to a caption written in French.
Starter:
Show PPT and explain what the Bayeux Tapestry is, when, where and why it was made.
Main Activity: (Introduction and Development)
1) Use the PPT to recap French vocabulary.
2) Work in pairs to identify key words in the captions on the A3 Bayeux Tapestry sheet.
3) Examine the scenes from the Bayeux Tapestry and match to the correct caption.
Plenary (outcomes/progress):
Go through answers. What strategies did pupils use to complete the task successfully?
