Sitting behind a big walnut desk, with what appeared to be a
globe suspended in midair above it, was an old Spirit. He was
looking intently at the blue and white globe, as it rotated slowly
around.
“Come in, yes, come in and sit down. I am, as Yum Kaax told
you, Huracán. Did you have a good night’s sleep, and good
food?” he asked.
“Yes sir, but why are we here?” Bardala asked.
“You are here to help Spirits, like me, to overcome evil Spirits,
and to restore peace to your Earth, and other planets,” Huracán
told them.
“But these three were taken from their parents by Zotz, and
he hurt their parents. Then he hurt another man. Besides, how
could we possibly fight evil Spirits? They are more powerful than
we are. We have no powers or weapons to use against them,”
Tital argued.
“Sit down, and listen to me. You all have some powers at this
very moment. When you first touched Bardala’s hands the
power increased in both of you. How do you think the great
stone door, the portal into this other Universe, was moved? You
could not have done it without the approval of Kukulcán. He
blessed you, and afterwards, you have been gaining the unseen
power of your Universe. Try it. Lift the chair that Jonathan is
sitting in. Point your finger like this,” said Huracán, as he
demonstrated to Tital. As he raised his finger, Jonathan and his
chair rose up from off the stone floor. “And now you do it,” he
said.
When Jonathan’s chair descended, Tital pointed his finger as
Huracán had done, and made a face of concentration, as he tried
