“That may be true, but I don’t see any welcome mat out,”
Tital said, as he looked the interior hallway over for glyphs.
“This could solve a big problem for us,” Bardala said.
“You’re right. We could use this pyramid to transport all of
the horses from Earth directly to this island. We wouldn’t have
to bring them over by boat. It would save a huge amount of time
for us,” Tital concluded.
“We’ll have to come back here after we catch up with
Jonathan’s party. Are we going to float up or climb?” Bardala
asked.
“I vote floating up, it’s more fun,” Kuó volunteered.
“Fine, Bardala you take Kuó with you,” Tital said as he lifted
off carrying his staff. Viviana floated up at his side.
On the other side of the pyramid, the eastern face, Jonathan,
Lena, and Ronú had stopped halfway up to sit and take a break.
“Take my picture with Lena,” Jonathan told Ronú. “Get Moka
and Eegh in the picture with us.”
“Okay, but I want you to take my picture, too,” Ronú replied.
After they all had taken several pictures, Jonathan sat down on
one of the stones saying, “Look how small the horses are down
there in the courtyard.”
“I like it up here, you can see for a long ways off,” Lena said
with a smile. The wind had picked up strength blowing her long,
brown hair around her face. She gave Moka some dried apple
slices to share with Eegh.
“Jonathan, can you get one more picture of me. I want one
where I am standing up, like this,” Ronú said as he climbed up
higher and stretched his arms out wide.
Jonathan stood up and framed the picture and pressed the
button. Lena and the monkeys were busy eating and looking
