217 THE BLUE FEATHER Viviana took the leftover scraps and fed them to the baby Gigantoraptor. Jonathan, Ronú, and Kuó went back to fishing, hoping to catch more to eat. Six hours into the voyage, Moka began chattering again, and Viviana informed everyone that Mahú Island was on the horizon. Tital scanned the island, and looked for a safe sandy beach to run the boats up on. It only took Tital a short time to locate a place where they could land. “Head for that point,” he instructed Bardala at the tiller. Mahucutah followed in the other sailboat, and came over to where Tital and Bardala stood after he beached his boat. “Let’s not waste any time in getting the Gigantoraptor eggs unloaded and relocated,” Tital said, looking towards the large expanse of savannah. “We will have to spread the eggs out, so that they will all have something to eat when they hatch.” Bardala said while scanning the ground towards the interior for predators. She turned and told the rest of the junior crew, “Unload only twentyfive percent of the baskets. Then we will take the boat and go around and unload the rest at different points.” Ronú, Kuó, and Lena started untying the hemp ropes from the baskets on the boat, while Jonathan and Viviana used their powers to levitate the baskets. While they were busy getting the baskets ready to offload, Tital, Bardala, and Mahucutah floated up in the air for a better position to see where to move the baskets into different areas along the lush grass-covered interior. They used their powers to carefully unpack the eggs, and safely deposit them in small groups. The work took less than an hour, and they were all ready to move down the coast when Viviana asked, “Will the baby Gigantoraptors be okay when they hatch? Who will feed them?”
