ABOUT MIA After working as an assistant in a Colorado real estate office, Mia needed no encouragement to join the world of real estate when she moved to Big Sky in 2011. Mia was educated in the UK where she graduated from The University of Leeds with a degree in music. During her university years, she was the lead singer of a UK-based Funk band called Maji. After graduation, Mia chased the endless winter as a snowsports professional, specializing in teaching snowboarding and adaptive snow sports in New Zealand, Australia, France, Canada and the U. S.
Besides working as a real estate agent, Mia serves on the boards for the Arts Council of Big Sky and Women In Action, is an active member of the Big Sky Rotary Club and also volunteers at the Big Sky Food Bank and for Eagle Mount’ s adaptive ski program.
Along with her husband Derek, and her two dogs, River and Banksy, Mia calls Big Sky home and she is committed to providing every client with the attention that they want and deserve.

Favorite spot in Big Sky?
Standing at the top of Lone Peak during summer or winter and soaking in the pristine views of Big Sky’ s backyard( and hopefully spotting a Mountain Goat!).
What does the Big Sky community mean to you?
Being an active member of the community helps me to gain a unique perspective on Big Sky. Our growing mountain town is a fantastic collaboration of like-minded people who all see and believe in what Big Sky is and what it will become. We are a happy community and the more we can offer to people, the more successful our Montana mountain town will be.
ABOUT ALLEN Raised in a small coastal town in New England, Allen always assumed that was where he would stay, never imagining he would abandon his beloved ocean to move west, of all places. However, after a deployment with the Marine Corps in 2005, Allen came to visit Big Sky. He immediately fell in love with the dramatic views of the magnificent northern Rockies, the clear mountain rivers, the fresh, crisp mountain air, and the vast open spaces. After completing his commitment to the Marines, Allen went on to earn his bachelor’ s degree at Babson College, and then pursued his career as a commercial real estate broker in Boston. Then in 2015, as luck would have it, he found a way to return to the place he had fallen in love with ten years earlier, this time to sell real estate.
Allen is now happily settled in Big Sky with his wife, three dogs, and a baby on the way! He could not imagine living anywhere else, and is eager to share this unique and amazing place with others. Allen loves connecting with his clients on a personal level and works hard to understand their real estate goals, in order to provide them with a completely custom experience in the place that he loves so much.
Describe your ideal day or your favorite things to do in Big Sky.
Because the skiing here is so great, a lot of people forget how beautiful the summers are. My idea of a perfect day in Big Sky would include one of the many great hikes available close by, with my wife and dog in the morning, followed by fly fishing the Gallatin in the afternoon, and then dinner in Town Center or at the River House in the evening.
What does the Big Sky community mean to you?
As a relatively new member of this community, expecting our first baby in March, my wife and I see Big Sky as the place we will be raising our family. So the Big Sky community means home for us. The people that make up this community all share a love and appreciation for this beautiful place— its uniqueness, its endless supply of outdoor adventure, its wildlife … We are grateful that our children will grow up in this safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, and we are confident that it will nurture and grow their love and appreciation for this special place as well.
