While on set, our photographer requested a shot of Justin with an ice-cream cone. It had a fun, youthful feel to it and in a way showcased the "kid at heart". There was a sweet little puppy named Mocha, who happened upon our shoot with her owner and we knew we had to capture the moment. Justin was quick to share his ice cream with the cute pup, and as you can see from the photos, Mocha had found true love in the strong arms of a stranger. It was one of the highlights of the day!
After our lunch break, Justin opened up in a video interview, sharing his suicide attempt that changed the course of his life.
We all sat motionless as we listened to the heart wrenching story that almost took the life of this incredible man.
Justin has become an incredible role model, not just to those with mental disorders, but to anyone needing motivation or inspiration.
While quickly becoming a name to reckon with in the off-roading world, Justin holds his own off the course as well. His passion for bringing awareness to mental disorders is apparent as his face lights up when he shares his experiences and life lessons with others.
It was an honor to feature Justin Peck as our True Hero Award Winner.
