# 3 Pet ID Info

Over the course of a year, lots of things change- people move, get new phone numbers, and forget to update their pet’s tags, microchip information, and to register your dog. I personally thought the Vet registered my dog for me-Wrong! You need to register your pet with the City as well, or you can get hit with a hefty fine. Keeping your pet’s information up to date is so important in case of them getting lost or displaced.

#4 Make a Date with Your Vet

Yearly examinations by the veterinarian are a key component of good preventive care. This will help you stay up to date on their oral care, vaccines, ask advice, or get an expert opinion on any issues you may have with your pet.

#5 Try a New Activity with Your Pet

From hiking, walking, paddle board- to dog yoga, it’s easier than ever for people to incorporate their pet into a new exercise routine. It’s a great way to bond, it’ll get you both out of the house, and both owner and pet will reap the rewards of a healthy physical activity. Meet-up groups are a great way to find like-minded pet owners to join you in your exercise, too! I personally have a group I connect with nightly, and even do Friday nights together after the park where we can bring our fur kids.

Whatever your resolutions may be-I wish you success. My personal- take Action resolution in this year of the dog will be looking into fostering, or getting with some local shelters to help walk pets since that is a part of mine and Josie’s daily routine. I will also be attending SuperZoo for the first time in Vegas over the summer. I look forward to a year ahead of good times and experiences.

Always try to rescue when pawsible,
