Bob Tewksbury, Ed.M., CMPC is a mental performance coach with the San Francisco Giants Baseball Organization. He won 110 major league games over a 13 year career pitching for the Yankees, Cubs, Cardinals, Rangers, Padres and Twins. His best season was in 1992 when he compiled a 16-5 record and was named to the National League All-Star team. Prior to joining the Giants, he worked as a mental skills coach with the Boston Red Sox from 2004-2013 and 2015-16. He obtained his masters in sport psychology and counseling from Boston University (2004) and completed his B.S in Physical Education from St. Leo University (2000). He has provided mental skills training to numerous college teams and athletes in a variety of sports including Division 1 baseball and basketball, Division 3 baseball, men’s hockey and women’s lacrosse. www.bobtewksbury.com
Charles A. Maher, PsyD, CMPC is Sport and Performance Psychologist and Senior Director of Personal and Organizational Performance for the Cleveland Indians Baseball Organization. He has been involved in sport and performance psychology with major league clubs for 30 years during which he has worked with thousands of players and coaches. In addtion, he has been worked in the sport and performance psychology domains with many teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and the WNBA as well as with professional boxers and tennis players. He is the author of numerous books and articles that relate to sport and performance psychology, including The Complete Mental Game of Baseball: Taking Charge of the Process, On and Off the Baseball Field. A former baseball coach at college and high school levels, Dr. Maher also is Professor Emeritus, Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University.
Dr. Sarah McKay completed a MSc and PhD in neuroscience at Oxford University in the Department of Physiology, Anatomy and Genetics where she studied neuroplasticity of the developing brain. She spent five years working in academic neuroscience research before founding her health education and medical communications business in 2008 The Neuroscience Academy. She writes a popular brain health and neuroscience blog (Your Brain Health), and has given a TEDx talk titled ‘Indulge your Neurobiology’. She is an influential brain health commentator, neuroscientist and TEDx speaker who specializes in translating brain science research into simple, actionable strategies for peak performance, creativity, mental health and well being.
