from Friday, January 18 to Sunday, January 20.
The street party held in Tanunda’s Murray Street
is open to the public on January 19.
This year’s ‘Cruise On’ will be the 27th year of the
event. The event attracts visitors from all over
Australia and overseas.
They have averaged 5,000 visitors and spectators
over the past few years.
It is the largest non wine industry event held each
year in the Barossa and one of South Australia’s
largest Hot Rodding events.
These visitors bring their families, Hot Rods,
Customs, vehicles of special interest and pre
1970 vehicles to display at several events during
the weekend.
The highlights of the weekend include the display
of cars, rock and roll dancing, live ‘rock and roll’
bands on the Saturday night.
The main street of Tanunda will be closed from
5 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. to allow visitors to inspect
the static display of vehicles and enjoy the street
party atmosphere.
Valley Hot Rodder ’s Club encourage all
participants to utilise local accommodation and
businesses in the Barossa wherever possible. A
charity auction is held on the Friday ‘Sponsor’s
Night’ to raise money for local charities.
