When Jim Lambert’s travels brought
him to Australia, he realised his love
of wine and beautiful places could
mark out a new future for him and
his wife, Pam. When they arrived in
the Barossa Valley and discovered
the amazing heritage and history of
wine and food, they knew this was
the place they wanted to call home.
A place to enjoy beautiful wine, food
and one of the most amazing views
overlooking the Valley. another generation is in place to grow
this amazing estate.
Nestled in the rolling hills to the
west of Angaston, the “Crown of the
Barossa”, Jim and Pam’s vision was
to create a place of discovery, where
the best memories can be made
by family and friends. Joined by
their son, Kirk, and his wife, Vanesa,
the Lambert family’s love for wine
is showcased by their love and the
commitment to each other. With an
ever-expanding family – two year old
Sebastian being the little assistant
winemaker and four month old
Juliette being the newest addition, Guests can sit outside on the
balconies and enjoy panoramic views
of the Barossa’s rolling hills. And,
with the addition of the Lambert
Estate restaurant’s kitchen garden in
the “southern white house” on the
Estate, Tanunda born Executive Chef,
Roger Farley, has taken inspirations
from the Lambert family’s diverse
background to create menus that
are enticing and flavourful. With a
touch of international spice and flair,
the restaurant offers something new
to the Barossa’s food landscape. The
Vanesa and Kirk’s passion and love is
visible in the outstanding wines they
produce with a story in each and
every bottle with names to match The
Black Sheep being an ode to the wine
makers craft and skills, A Thousand
Words Chardonnay is a special jibe at
a much loved sister across the Pacific,
and the Silent Partner a light hearted
moniker for a serious mentor.

Angaston.
Guests often ask about all the various
flags flying. Front of House Manager,
Gavyn Williams points out it’s the mix
of his team and guests from different
corners of this amazing world who
have come together with a real love
and passion for amazing wines and
food and a love for family. From
places like Wisconsin in the USA and
Lima, Peru, the Lamberts have come
to a beautiful valley in the Barossa
in South Australia. At Lambert
Estate they want to share their love
for discovery and passion for wine,
food, and all things Barossa with old
and new friends from wherever flags
fly. It’s the provenance that is often
talked about, but rarely discovered,
that all comes together at Lambert
