Gomez and The Scene. The bands debut album Kiss & Tell was released that same year by Hollywood Records, which is a music label owned by Disney, in which Selena was signed to in 2008. In 2010 the debut album was certified gold by the RIAA and the albums single Naturally was certified platinum by the RIAA. However before this Selena starred in her first film, which was Ramona and Beezus, in which she played the role of Beezus. She also started dating Taylor Lautner when she met him in Vancouver whilst filming Ramona and Beezus as well as New Moon. However their relationship only last a few months as the pressure of the media caused them to split.
After her first film, Selena’s career skyrocketed. She was casted for many roles, in which she guest starred along side one of her friends Demi Lovato. This was a really fun role for Selena to play, as she was able to work with someone she loves to spend time with. The same month Selena and Demi stared alongside each other in a Disney Channel movie Princess Protection Program. This was one of the three most viewed Disney Channel Movie. It is hard to list all of the achievements, as there are so many. However in present day Selena is engaged in an on and off relationship with the well-known teen celebrity heart-throb Justin Bieber.
She has just recently released her hit single Come and Get it, which is already hitting the charts. She is also starring in a new movie Spring Breakers, which is a very different role for Selena to be playing as it is not Disney and it has very inappropriate content.
Selena Gomez has matured so much as she has continued with her career. However she has kept close to the need of her fans, but not particularly lately in her upcoming role in the movie Spring Breakers. However it is her career and she has the right to pursue it the way she wants to. Selena has come so far and achieved so much, which includes designing clothing for girls and teens and releasing four albums so far as well as being casted in so many movies and TV shows. She has remained to be true to herself and or fans and does not disappoint. Another bonus for her career is that she is not one to be apart of a scandal, which has had a great effect on her career.
