The Nursing Home Abuse Podcast Schenck Smith is an Atlanta nursing home neglect and abuse law firm founded by trial lawyers Will Smith and Rob Schenk .
Rob and Will host The Nursing Home Abuse podcast . They started by focusing on only personal injury around 2016 with short videos , and then moved to podcasts in 2017 . To date , this pair have presented over 150 episodes with over twenty thousand downloads . Each episode takes about four hours of work . This includes filming , coordinating with guests , and editing .
Will says the initial goal was to “ help us generate SEO . We began publishing informative videos on our website that explained basic legal concepts to consumers . Generally , the format is with Rob and Will hosting with a guest discussing a long-term care issue . In the past this has included end of life decisions , bedsores , restraints , or what to look for when placing someone in a facility . They record the episodes in batches over the course of two days and release them bi-monthly on a Monday .
Rob shares that , not only have we had people tell us that a particular episode helped them with unanswered questions about long term care treatment , but it really increases our SEO on Google . Google rewards frequent original content . Rob adds , “ For us , it has been a labor of love on an issue we both care deeply about .”
