T
he Atlanta Bar Estate Planning and Probate section
seeks to bring together estate planning and probate
professionals in the greater Atlanta community and
educate our members on the law and latest proven cutting edge techniques. We are holding many programs on
relevant estate planning and probate matters and offering
our members the opportunity to meet and work with other
professionals in our community.
On September 11, 2013, the Atlanta Bar Estate Planning
and Probate section continued with our monthly breakfasts
where we had Jeff Scroggins speak on “The Future of Estate
Planning: It’s Not Dying, Just Evolving.”
On September 26, Professor Jeffery N. Pennell spoke at our
Section sponsored luncheon at Villa Christina on “Recent
Wealth Transfer Developments”. Professor Pennell reported
to us that with increased estate tax exemption amount, more
and more planning is happening in the income side of estate
planning. We are lucky to have Professor Pennell for many
