(“Nick”) Djuric, of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan, LLP. Mr. Djuric has amply demonstrated his commitment to the practice in numerous ways, including his involvement in the leadership of the Estate Planning & Probate Section, the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, and the State Bar of Georgia’s Fiduciary Law Section, his many CLE presentations, including one at the 2012 Fiduciary Law Institute, and his participation in the March Madness Will Training Program. The Estate Planning & Probate Section is grateful to Mr. Djuric for his many contributions and is happy to honor him with the first Distinguished Service Award. The Award will be presented to Mr. Djuric at the 9th Annual Estate Planning Forum on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. The Estate Planning Forum is a joint presentation of the Estate Planning & Probate Section and Diversified Trust Company, Inc. The 2012 Forum will feature Sam Donaldson, who recently joined the faculty of Georgia State University’s College of Law. We will be seeking alliances with pro bono service providers that have a need for the expertise that intellectual-property lawyers have so that we can find meaningful pro bono work for IP lawyers that is within the realm of their expertise.
