ACYL ’ s Associates ’ Campaign Kick-Off
This year the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers Section “ ACYL ” ran its annual Associates ’ Campaign . The Associates ’ Campaign is ACYL ’ s largest fundraiser of the year . It is designed for Associates at Atlanta-area law firms to donate to participating pro bono organizations in Atlanta , with the recommended donation of the equivalent of one billable hour . Though associate contributions are the basis of the campaign , partners are allowed to contribute as well , and partners will sometimes match contributions from their teams . In addition , participating firms are encouraged the match the donations of their associates .
Over the past several years , the campaign has consistently raised over $ 20,000 for Atlanta-area non-profit organizations that provide pro bono services . The campaign depends on firm coordinators at each firm , who are responsible for emailing the associates in their firm and asking the firm to match donations .
This year ' s campaign began on October 5 , 2021 , at 5:00 p . m . located at Monday Night Garage . This in-person event provided the opportunity for Atlanta associates to mingle with attorneys from the pro bono organizations that the Associates ’ Campaign supports . This year the campaign raised funds for the following pro bono organizations :

A small group of individuals from the ACYL Board , including Samantha L . Skolnick ( Burkhalter Law LLC ), Cate C . Berenato ( Robbins , Alloy , Belinfante , Littlefield LLC ), Riley B . Liu ( Jensen Law LLC ), Jena G . Emory ( Copeland , Stair , Kingma & Lovell LLP ), and the ACYL President , Matthew A .
