STAYING CONNECTED
on the Atlanta Bar Website
M
any of you are aware that the Atlanta Bar hosts
multiple interactive social media platforms; such as
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Vimeo. Members can
always find links to these pages on the Atlanta Bar website.
Recently, the Atlanta Bar switched website and database
providers, which allowed for new and improved features and
social media capabilities. The new platform contains easier
access to information and resources, upgraded Section
groups and directories, and a customizable calendar of
events.
Once you log in to the website with your username
and password (remember, all passwords were reset to
atlantabar1 in June due to the website migration), you can
customize your profile, upload your headshot, register for
events, pay your dues, and more.
Your Atlanta Bar Profile
Updating your member profile helps us connect with you,
and send you timely and important information on current
and future Bar programs. Your profile can contain specific
areas of practice, list education information and provide
social and volunteer organizations that you are involved
in. Other Atlanta Bar members will also be able to view this
information in the Atlanta Bar online Member Directory.
Be sure to make a list of favorite Atlanta Bar website pages
for easy access to information relevant to your interests.
The new website can link your personal and professional
social media pages to your account so that you can
share information on multiple platforms with the click of a
button. The Sections that you are currently a member of
will automatically be connected your profile. Upload your
headshot to complete your online presence!
Connect (and Communicate) with Members
Did you know you can grow your legal network using the
Atlanta Bar Member Directory? Connecting with other
Atlanta Bar Members allows you to stay current on the latest
legal community news and events, and can even help you
with referrals. Simply search for members by location, name,
firm or even area of practice in the membership directory
which is located under “For Members”. Once you click on
a member’s name in the search, you can access his or her
profile. Clicking on the message icon at the top of the profile
allows you to send an email through the system. Clicking the

Connect icon can initiate further social interaction. Once you
connect with members, you can easily access your list of
connections from the My Profile box which is always located
on the top right side of the website. Connections allow you
to view your colleagues’ updated information, events and
social networks with the simple click of a link.
