he Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association
is proud of what we have been doing and planning
in the past few months. In March, we had a very
interesting breakfast program featuring victor Hartman, the
Chief Division Counsel and Supervisory Special Agent to the
Federal Bureau of Investigation who gave us some insights
about the inside of the FBI and cyber security issues.
On May 7, 2013, the Section will present the annual David
Pollard CLE Program and Award Luncheon. The morning
educational program will consist of three CLE hours,
including ethics hours, followed by the award luncheon. The
interactive CLE course will be led by AlixPartners, Northern
District of Georgia Bankruptcy Judges Mary Grace diehl
and Paul W. Bonapfel, and Alston & Bird LLP Partner, Grant
stein, who will discuss ethical issues that arise in insolvency
situations, turnarounds and restructurings. Following the
morning CLE, the Bankruptcy Section will present the
annual Pollard Award to “a person who is a member of the
Atlanta Bar who best exemplifies the highest standards
of professionalism and ethics in the bankruptcy practice.”
The Board of the Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar is
pleased to announce that this year’s Pollard Award will be
presented to James A. Pardo, Jr. from King & Spalding for
his tremendous contributions to the Section and the Atlanta
bar.

that will provide bankruptcy professionals with an exclusive

still available for those interested so please contact Jennifer
Meyerowitz at [email protected] if you or your

The Bankruptcy Section of the Atlanta Bar Association
