hispanic national bar association’s 2013 hnba corporate
counsel conference and 18th annual Uvaldo rivera moot court
competition coming to atlanta
t
he hispanic national bar association (hnba), in
partnership with its local affiliate, the Georgia Hispanic
bar association (ghba), will be hosting the 4th
annual corporate counsel conference and 18th annual
uvaldo rivera moot court competition at the grand hyatt
hotel in buckhead from march 13-16, 2013. the corporate
counsel conference attracts participants from across the
country, including general counsels from many fortune
100 and other corporations. this mega cle event will not
only provide great professional development and networking
opportunities, but will also showcase the city of atlanta and
the state of georgia to attendees from across the nation.
cle attendance is free for in-house counsel. in addition,
there are opportunities to participate in a community service
project benefiting the Southern Poverty Law Center, as well
as to assist in the national moot court competition as a
volunteer bailiff or judge.
the hnba is one of the largest professional organizations
in the united states and is the national voice of the hispanic

community, representing the interests of over 100,000
hispanic attorneys, judges, law professors, paralegals, law
students and legal professionals across the country. the
primary objectives of the hnba are to increase professional
opportunities for hispanics in the legal profession and
to address issues of concern to the national hispanic
community.
the ghba’s mission is to promote diversity in public and
private legal organizations and departments, facilitate
the continuing legal education of its members, foster the
exchange of ideas and information between hispanic
lawyers, educate the hispanic community on its legal rights
and duties, and promote the recruitment and retention of
georgia hispanic students in law schools.
