podcast. Attorneys Jeena Cho and
Karen Gifford are the co-authors of
an eight week guide, The Anxious
Lawyer, to encourage mindfulness
in the practice of law. This grow-
ing trend of “mindful” practices
has taken the legal field by storm,
from law schools hosting yoga and
meditation sessions for both stu-
dents and faculty (Read about GSU
Law’s Mindfulness Program in our
April 2017 issue) to large firms hir-
ing mindfulness coaches to educate
associates. Now, Cho has begun a
podcast in which she invites other
attorneys and mindfulness gurus to
speak about the many ways one can
employ mindfulness and medita-
tion in their everyday activities. For
those of us who have heard about
all of the benefits mindfulness can
bring, but don’t have the time or the
tools, The Resilient Lawyer Podcast
may be a good place to begin. Es-
pecially those of us making any
sort of commute, which is where
all bad days begin, this podcast can
help you refocus that road rage to
something more productive. I lis-
tened for two weeks on my way in
to campus and was rewarded with
a better attitude once I arrived at
school, coupled with more energy
after my first class. To Gifford and
Cho, employing mindfulness and
mediation means a more effective
and enjoyable legal practice. Give
it a listen
