Time Over Money in the World of Family Law ______________________________________________________________ How Family Law Has Evolved Over the Years .

I n Georgia , COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world of family law practice . However , in changing the practice of family law , the dynamics of family law cases have remained relatively consistent . One of the most common issues that domestic case litigants face is the fight for parenting time and the fight for child support . Both legal issues often prompt a delicate dance between litigants , counsel , and judges alike who hear these cases . Often , the non-custodial parent seeks additional parenting time , while the primary custodial parent seeks an increase in child support . At times during litigation , the two positions are viewed as conflicting . Yet , Georgia law and public policy surrounding it have helped to resolve some of these issues .
The law varies from state to state on this issue . Across the United States , public policies align themselves to a universal understanding that barring incarceration , domestic violence , and drug abuse - both
