2018 Summer Law Internship Program
This summer marked the twenty-
sixth anniversary of Atlanta Bar
Association’s Summer Law Intern-
ship Program (SLIP). Through
the longstanding support of the
Atlanta legal community, SLIP has
provided 735 internships to date
to talented high school students
from across the region. The pro-
gram placed forty-nine interns
from thirty-six high schools this
year in law firms, law departments,
public interest groups and courts
throughout Atlanta.
The program provides the stu-

relationship. Prior to beginning
their internship, the Interns at-

ings took place where they met to
discuss their internship experi-
ences, various legal topics, and
relevant current events. The pro-
gram also required written enrich-
ment and progress tests to assess
their knowledge.
