Runners, walkers, children and pets gathered at John
Howell Park for the seventeenth The Legal Runaround
5K Race, Walk and Tot Trot which took place on Satur-
day, September 9, 2017. Sponsored by the Atlanta Bar
Association and the Atlanta Police Department, the
event raises money for the Police Scholarship Fund
which offers education scholarships to children of
police officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. Over
$193,000 in scholarship support has been awarded
since the program’s inception in 1980.
