Back Again

The Atlanta Bar provides ample opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with attorneys at different stages of the profession . This is one of the best ways to use the Bar ’ s network , whether you guide others as a mentor or gain wisdom as a mentee . Several bar members have benefitted from being both a mentee and a mentor . We asked prominent Bar members to discuss how their role as a mentor and / or mentee allowed them to become more involved and enjoy their Bar experience . These are their stories .
“ I met Robert Lewis at the Department of Labor , and he encouraged me to attend a Litigation breakfast with him , so I wouldn ’ t be the ‘ odd woman out .’ For that , I will forever be grateful to him . During that first meeting , I saw Judges and seasoned litigators greet each other like long lost best friends , and I realized I was the outsider looking in .
