SECTION UPDATE BANKRUPTCY The Bankruptcy Section is pleased to announce that two of its Board Members, the Honorable Jeffery W. Cavender and the Honorable Sage M. Sigler, have joined the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The Section congratulates Judge Cavender and Judge Sigler and is honored to count them among the Section’s membership. The Bankruptcy Section held a March Madness CLE program on March 27, 2018. The event was held at the State Bar of Georgia headquarters. It included train- ing for two of the Section’s pro bono initiatives: the Adversary Proceeding Project and the Reaffirmation Project. Attendees received training on participating in these programs and learned how to get involved. The Bankruptcy Section encourages its members to get in- volved with one of the many pro bono and community service opportunities it supports. Joint Section Breakfast On Thursday, April 12, 2018, the Bankruptcy Section, in partnership with the Elder Law Section, held a Sec- tion breakfast. The breakfast featured a presentation entitled "What's Age Got to Do With It? Elder Invest- ment Fraud and Financial Exploitation."
