SECTION UPDATE
BANKRUPTCY
The Bankruptcy Section is pleased to announce that
two of its Board Members, the Honorable Jeffery W.
Cavender and the Honorable Sage M. Sigler, have joined
the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern
District of Georgia. The Section congratulates Judge
Cavender and Judge Sigler and is honored to count
them among the Section’s membership.
The Bankruptcy Section held a March Madness CLE
program on March 27, 2018. The event was held at the
State Bar of Georgia headquarters. It included train-
ing for two of the Section’s pro bono initiatives: the
Adversary Proceeding Project and the Reaffirmation
Project. Attendees received training on participating in
these programs and learned how to get involved. The
Bankruptcy Section encourages its members to get in-
volved with one of the many pro bono and community
service opportunities it supports. More information on
these worthy causes is listed on our Section webpage at:
http://www.atlantabar.org/?page=BankruptcyProBono.
Please contact any Bankruptcy Section Officer or Board
