THE ASIAN MALE EDITIONS T.A.M.E - William Lo 羅曉峰 - SAMPLER | Page 7

Unsurprisingly William
said he was fine to
continue shooting in the
rain, that is, if it was
okay by me. I pondered
the idea. We would not
be able to use the studio
lights as intended, so
I decided to use my
dedicated flash: an SB800
with my Nikon D700 --
shot straight on. It would
be harsh lighting. But it
could work.
So we ran back out to
shoot. The rush of warm
water and adrenaline
combined with William’s
unrehearsed posing was a
exhilarating.
A strong visual language
emerged from the session
models. They were
spontaneous, raw and
powerful. Pellets of water
droplets managed to land
on the filter, forming tiny
islands on the image.
Following the rooftop, we
continued our discreet
investigations in other
areas of the building,
never shying away from
the less formidable
spaces of industrial
decay, including stairwells
and corridors. No hidden
cameras. Just us.
The text that follows is an
interview that I conducted
with William, as I wanted
to shine light onto who
he is and where he came
from. This is his story and
of our collaboration.
