PREFACE
This publication is a
derivative from The
Asian Male Project, a
digitally formatted e-book
that I have sub-texted
EDITIONS; hence The
Asian Male Editions or
T.A.M.E. for short. It was
inspired by the shoot that
you are about to see, and
my re-thinking on how
to edit and present the
photographs as a digital
collection. The experience
of seeing the artwork is
part of the pleasure, not
just the images alone.
Therefore, the context in
which the photographs
appeared in was important
to me.
William Lo is not a
professional model by
trade, yet he has appeared
as an actor for director
Scud in the movie Thirty
Years of Adonis and
brings to the session more
experience than others.
The theme of the shoot
was really about the
model interacting with
the environment, to
simply capture William
on the spacious rooftop
of an industrial building.
What was not planned for
was the sudden onset of
rain, which started five
minutes into the shoot. It
was normal Hong Kong
downpour. I had to pull
the lighting gear into
cover.
