The mineral crystal, perfectly aligned with the case, follows the softness of the lines, while genuine leather straps, available in crocodile-pattern or smooth finishes, complete the ensemble with a discreet yet sophisticated presence.
As with the recent Classic models, the new Le Minuscule creations are offered in limited editions of 329, 888 and 1931 pieces. These numbers are far from random, being deeply connected to Dalí’ s creative universe and the tradition of his authorized artistic editions.
The number 329 recalls several celebrated series of lithographs and engravings produced under the supervision of Fundació Gala- Salvador Dalí in deliberately unconventional quantities, far removed from any“ round-number” logic and perfectly coherent with the artist’ s anticonformist approach.
The number 888 references Salvador Dalí’ s famous oil painting“ Soft Watch Exploding in 888 Particles after Twenty Years of Total Immobility”( 1954), while 1931 marks the year in which The Persistence of Memory was created, a work that entered collective imagination as the absolute symbol of fluid time
and subjective perception.
Le Minuscule is not simply a smaller version, but a new perspective on time itself, subtler, more fluid and more personal in its most compact form. According to Exaequo, time continues to escape the rules of reality.
