Isabelle Bordji & Ludovic Dedieu
1904, the year in which Paris saw the birth of a new luxury fashion house, Ernest Chausseur, a stone’ s throw from the famous Moulin Rouge.
Dancers, women of the world, artists- the whole of Paris was thrilled by the House’ s first creations. It gradually became a benchmark brand, creating veritable objects of fantasy.
Helmut Newton, Berlin’ s master photographer, fell under the spell of“ Elysée”, irresistible at just 14cm tall. He decided to sublimate femininity in his work, making Ernest his faithful ally.
At the dawn of wisdom, in the 80s, Ernest accompanied celebrities, to sublimate them, in the Parisian nightlife.
Ernest turns heads … it was the first brand, to make its creations an object driven solely by desire.
In the 80s, the first artistic crushes with fashion icons. Jean-Paul Gaultier, a great admirer of the brand, was involved in the creation of the iconic“ GO” shoe.
The friendship between Ernest and the designer, in the sailor suit, led to several collaborations on catwalk shows and advertisements.
Despite its incredible heritage, the iconic Parisian fashion house had fallen a little asleep by the early 2000s...
Since 2020, a new tandem with Ludovic Dedieu Wallerand as Managing Director and Isabelle Bordji as Artistic Director has woken up the sleeping beauty and brought Maison Ernest back to centre stage.

Maison Ernest has never renounced the excellence of its know-how, the materials used and its incredible comfort, which makes you feel like a Hollywood star for hours on end...
“ That’ s why a Maison Ernest creation is so jubilant and addictive...” Ludovic Dedieu Wallerand
