“Petal," Floor Lamp by Elliott
Barnes, Exhibited at Mus e
Carnavalet Paris
The “Petal” floor lamp was created for the
exhibition Transpositions – Elliott Barnes at the
Mus e Carnavalet, Paris in 2014.
During the Designers’ Days from 19th to 25th
May 2014, the American Architect Elliott
Barnes occupied the Louis the 16th wing of
the Mus e Carnavalet. The exhibition proposed
a dialogue between furniture designed by
Elliott Barnes and the museum’s permanent
collection. This piece was executed thanks to
the talents of the most accomplished French
artisans. This “savoir-faire” is equally honoured
in the historical collection of the Mus e
Carnavalet, which is dedicated to the history
of Paris.
Lightness and pleasure for this floor lamp with
structure made of bent blackened steel, and
rose gold finish for the brass lampshade petals.
