Chapter 6

Rules of the Weight Room

1. Absolutely no horseplay in the weight room.

2. All weights will be re-racked and put away. All bars will be hung on the wall or re-racked.

3. Always use secured collars.

4. Be sure the area is clear before lifting.

5. Be sure pins are secure before using machine lifts.

6. Wear proper clothing (appropriate shoes, no open toed sandals).

7. Be alert for other lifters.

8. Do not bang weights together.

9. Make sure the bar is loaded evenly.

10 .Always use proper lifting technique.
