10 minutes 31 seconds slicing a little over 1 hour and 18 minutes off Wild Oats IX 2003 record . In the hands of Harburg ’ s long time skipper , Mark Bradford , Black Jack clean-swept the trophies , winning the IRC , ORC and PHS classes in a race , where the weather decided in favour of the big boat .
With a strong fleet of thirty starters , RPAYC was well represented with seven yachts , and impressive results for Martin and John Cross on Transcendence Crento taking line honours , IRC , ORC and PHS in the two-handed division . In the fully crewed division , Mark Griffith ’ s LCE Old School Racing came second overall in ORC , first in ORC division two , third overall in IRC , first in IRC division two , second overall in PHS , and first in PHS division two . To all the other members a big thank you for supporting the return of this great ocean race . I hope you had fun and we look forward to seeing you back next year .

Jason Waterhouse and Nina Curtis were part of the SailGP winning Team Australia . This is the second year the team has won overall , and Natasha Bryant joins them for season three , looking to add experience for her campaign for the next Olympics .
Chris Way and Rod Waterhouse have won the Worrell 1000 . This race is the “ Everest ” of offshore long distance beach catamaran sailboat races . It is run in the waters between Florida and Virginia Beach and covers approximately one thousand miles with overnight stops at fourteen locations along the East Coast of the United States . Chris and Rod ’ s overall time was 87 hours , 40 minutes and 44 seconds ,
