Melbourne Cup & Opening Day
Opening day 2020 saw a big turn out for the traditional sail past and Pittwater Dash . Craig Douglas in Popeye took the win with Scott Robinson
in Puff with the Hornsbys rounding out the top three finishers in Pick Pocket .
2021 traditional celebrations for Opening Day were not held due to Covid .
Melbourne Cup is always one of the biggest events at the club and 2021 was no different . We welcomed club patron , the Hon . Bronwyn Bishop AO , for the festivities .
Halyards Annexe was filled with elegant hats , dapper suits , great food and good company .
