of Heaven. For this reason, the Jews were proud of themselves that they were following all the 10 commandments. The Jews completely pulled down the standards of the Law so that they could follow them. But Jesus again raised the level of the Law to its original standards. Let us examine the original status of the Law. Matthew 5 : 22 says, But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgement: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. All of us have at least one time or the other scolded at least one person. Then we shall be in danger of judgement and be subjected to hell. If we have called somebody a fool, then we will be in danger of hell fire. This is the standard of Law. So, can anybody follow such a thing and go to heaven? No! It is impossible ! Matthew 5 : 27 - 28 says, Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. The Jews think that if we indulge in the act of adultery then it is adultery. But Jesus said that if we had a bad thought in our mind only, we were adulterers. Now, after this revelation can any person go to heaven? No! It is impossible! Nobody can go to heaven by listening to the word of Law. So, the church has been wasting it’s time by preaching the impossible thing. The Law has been designed by God in such a way that no man can follow it. So, It is impossible for man to follow the standards of the Law. Matthew 5 : 39 says, But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. Is it possible for us to turn our another cheek also to be slapped? No! But we have been listening to such sermons of Law all our life. And it is also said that we should not let Law depart from our heart and meditate on it day and night. Even if we meditate Matthew 5 all our lives, it is still impossible to carry it out. So, why do we need to meditate a law which we cannot follow? We should be aware of what we need to meditate. Scripture cannot be generalised in this manner. Matthew 5 : 40 - 42 says, And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee t
