C an we follow all the 10 commandments correctly? No! Let us examine the commandment in Exodus 20 : 17. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his man servant, nor his maid servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour’s. Because at some point or the other we must have at least once coveted our neighbour’s or our brother’s house. So to follow the law it is very difficult. When Jesus was on the earth, the scribes felt happy that being the heirs of Abraham, they were following the Law. But actually, nobody can meet the demands of Law. It is highly impossible to follow the commandments of God in order to go to Him. Nobody can receive the eligibility to go to God and He is aware of it. But the Jews were very proud that they were following all the commandments. Let us study what Jesus did when he came to the earth. Matthew 5 : 18 - 19 says, For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. If we do not obey at least one of the least commandments even once then we will be called the least in the Kingdom
