Licia Jn Paul- 2014 Carnival Queen
Licia Theophila Jn Paul, is a young and vibrant young
lady with a passion for theatre and the arts. She has been
involved in numerous youth organizations in her community such as the Yaticka youth group and Soufriere
Action Theatre (S.A.T.). She attended the Soufriere
Comprehensive Secondary School and furthered her
education at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College,
successfully optaining her A Levels and the Teacher
Education certificate. Licia is currently a theatre arts
teacher at the Choiseul Secondary School.
Licia believes that the St. Lucian Carnival is a true celebration of the diversity that exists among our people and
is one time in the year when we all unite as one people
and enjoy ourselves and celebrate the life we have. She
believes that the National Carnival Queen Pageant is
the most prestigious pageant in St. Lucia and one which
pushes you to be your best and develop holistically as
an individual and this is something which she is striving
towards. Licia was inspired by the previous contestants
who represented Soufriere in the National pageant who
excelled such as the 2012 Carnival Queen, Jeanelle Desir.
She would like to continue the legacy and contribute
towards the development and elevation of my community.
